Cancer fundraising, the joy of smoke-free pub entertainment and ageless rock and roll come together in a unique celebration at the Empire Hotel, Annandale, this Friday night [13 July].

To mark five years since Sydney pubs went smoke-free, local band The Original Faux Pas will perform their trademark mix of rock and roll and Motown covers. A couple of mystery guests are also expected.

All proceeds will go to Cancer Council NSW.

The Original Faux Pas play a variety of songs from the early ’60s to the early ’70s, spanning Marvin Gaye to the Doobie Brothers via the Rolling Stones, The Who and Jefferson Airplane, with a couple of ’80s favourites (Sunnyboys, Concrete Blonde) tossed in.

The first set starts just after 8pm. $10 entry fee, proceeds to Cancer Council NSW.
